چکیده

This paper presents a design of Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) for Cognitive Radios (CRs) receiver and it operates from 50 MHz to 5 GHz. The proposed design is consisted of two stages, the first one is a combination of cascode with common gate stage to improve the gain, power consumption, and the input matching. The second stage is a common source (CS) for canceling the noise and distortion of CG of the first stage. This design achieves a noise figure 4.1-4.8 dB, input reflection coefficient less than 11 dB, output reflection coefficient below -10dB, the power gain from 10.2 dB to 12.5 dB and the consummation power 7.14 mW supplied from 1 V. The proposed LNA is designed using 0.18 μm CMOS technology.

A Broadband Low Power CMOS LNA for 3.1–10.6 GHz UWB Receivers

A new approach for designing an ultra wideband (UWB) CMOS low noise amplifier (LNA) is presented. The aim of this design is to achieve a low noise figure, reasonable power gain and low power consumption in 3.1-10.6 GHz. Also, the figure of merit (FOM) is significantly improved at 180nm technology compared to the other state-of-the-art designs. Improved π-network and T-network are used to obt...

Design and Fabrication of a 9–11 GHz Balanced Low Noise Amplifier Using HJFET

This paper describes the design of an X-band balanced low noise amplifier (LNA) using an available HJFET device. The balanced LNA consists of a pair of electrically similar transistors whose input and output signals are divided or combined by 3 dB two-stage Wilkinson power dividers. The proposed balanced LNA is fabricated and measured. The measured results show that the noise figure is 1.30 dB ...

A 0.015-mm 60-GHz Reconfigurable Wake-Up Receiver by Reusing Multi-Stage LNAs

An area-efficient 60-GHz wake-up receiver (WuRx) using reconfiguration techniques of multistage low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) is presented. The gain stages of the 60-GHz LNA are reused as the envelope detectors for the wake-up receiver. Therefore, the bulky components such as extra switches between the wake-up receiver and the LNA, additional antennas, and excess input matching network can be rem...

A Novel and Single Chip Tri-band Low- Noise Amplifier for Wlan, Wifi and Wimax Receivers

In first stage of each microwave receiver there is Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) circuit, and this stage has important rule in quality factor of the receiver. The design of a LNA in Radio Frequency (RF) circuit requires the trade-off many importance characteristics such as gain, Noise Figure (NF), stability, power consumption and complexity. This situation forces designers to make choices in the de...
